Stephen Green was born on the 7th November 1948. He is a British Conservative politician.
Political Career[edit]
In September 2010, he joined the UK’s Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition government in 2011 as an unpaid Minister of State for Trade and Investment. In order for him to become accountable to parliament, he was made a life peer on the 16th November, receiving the title Baron Green of Hurstpierpoint, in the County of West Sussex. He was introduced to the House of Lords on 22nd November. He was made Minister of State for Trade and Investment in both, the Department for Business, innovation and skills and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office from 2011.
Education[edit]
He attended Lancing College, before moving on to Exeter College Oxford where he received a master’s degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
