The Indian Embassy in Berlin organizes a workshop: Ancient Wisdom of Yoga by Art of Living, which will take part on Tuesday 9th February 2016 at 18:00 at the Indian Embassy (Tiergartenstrasse 17, Berlin).

The Art of Living was founded in 1981 by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and operates in 154 countries. It has been teaching authentic and holistic yoga around the world for the past 35 years. It teaches the pure and authentic form of Yoga and is a path to a stress free body and mind. This session will be a combination of gentle asanas, breathing techniques, meditation and simple knowledge tips, all directed to the well-being of the body, while nurturing your mind and spirit. The Art of Living Yoga goes beyond the physical body and helps you sharpen your sensitivity towards more subtle levels of existence, leading to a full blossoming of the human potential.

The event will be appropriate for both, beginners and advanced yoga practitioners. Through yoga and meditation courses and humanitarian projects, the Art of Living has been working tirelessly for a stress and violence-free society. It has played a major role in sensitizing the world about the essence of yoga. The main component is the SudarshanKriya, which is a health-promoting breathing technique. Its approach of presenting yoga away from dogmatic beliefs has helped in taking it to people of all class, creeds and religions – from the European Parliament to Capitol Hill in the US to UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
