- President of the High School Students Movement (MAKI) and founding member of the DISY Youth Organisation (NEDISY) (1976).
- Member of the DISY Famagusta District Council.
- Member of the Council of Europe Committee on Legal Issues concerning Anti-Doping since 1996 and of the Sports Ethics Committee of the Cyprus Sports Organisation (KOA) since 1993.
- DISY Commissioner for Refugees, Enclaved, Missing and Adversely Affected Persons since 2006.
- Vice-president of DISY since May 2013.
