Averil Power was born on July 1978, in Dublin (Ireland) and is the senator for Dublin North East.

Political Career

In 2009, unfortunately, she was unable to qualify for the Fingal County Council candidacy. However, in April 2011, she was honoured to be elected to the Seanad for the first time, after beating 33 other candidates, on the Industrial and Commercial Panel. Additionally, she run for the 2011 general election Candidate in Dublin North East. In a three-seat constituency, she came fourth on the first count with 4,794 votes and was only 0.5% behind the person who came third. She was elected President (2001-02) and Education Officer (2000-01) of Trinity College Students Union.


Education

Averil Power has a degree in Business, Economics and Social Science from Trinity College, Dublin

Notable Works

She cycled from Dublin to Arklow for Women’s Aid and have taken part in white collar boxing competitions to raise money for charity. Additionally, in August 2011, she volunteered in Mozambique with VSO.
