David Assouline
David Assouline was born in 1959 in Morocco is a member of the Senate of France, representing the constituency of Paris. Assouline has been politically engaged since 1995, when he became a member of the Socialist Party. Since 2003 he has joined the party's National Council. He has been elected in 2004 and in 2011 and he represents the Senate Socialist Group.
Political Career
David Assouline is the President of the Senatorial Commission for Control and Application of Laws and the Vice-president of the Commission on Culture, Education and Communication. He is also a member of the Study Board on media and new technologies, and sport practices Municipal Councelor of Paris (20th arrondissement); member of the Group for Interparlamentarian Union (UIP); member of the National Centre of Cinema and Images; member of the Commission of Modernization and Audio-visual Broadcasting.
Notable Work
David Assouline is a Professor of history and geography and has been publishing different works, as well as a documentary film over the history of Jews in Morocco. Moreover he was member of the Administrative Council of Radio-France society, as well as France, deputy mayor for Paris (20th arrondissement), member of the Delegation for Women Rights and President of the Friendship Group "France-Japan"
