Anne Flierman
Anne Flierman (born on November 5th, 1955 in Emmen) is a member of the Dutch House of Representatives for the CDA. He is the chairman of the Standing Committee for Education, Culture and Science and spokesman for, among other economic issues (agriculture) and infrastructure.
Political Career
Anne Flierman has been the Chairman of the Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organisation (NVAO) since May 1st, 2013. Flierman was a member of the Advisory Interior of the CDA and a member of the commission consitutional reform of the Scientific Institute of the CDA. He was the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the University of Twente in Enschede from August 1st, 2005 until May 1st, 2013. Then he was the Vice President of the Executive Board (in charge of finance and human resources) of the Maastricht University from April 1st, 2001 until August 1st, 2005. From 1996 until 2001 Flierman was the mayor of Arnhem. From 1996 until 2005 Flierman was a member of the editorial Management Forum (body of the CDA management association. From May 1993 until December 1995 Flierman was the chariman of the CDA in Woerden. From 1993 until 1996 he was the Secretary-Director of Rotterdam. Anne Flierman was the Director General of Administrative Affairs of the City of Rotterdam from 1992 until 1993 and also the secretary Consultative of the Rijnmond municipality. rom 1987 until 1990 Flierman was the Head of the Department for the budget and control of the management finance of Rotterdam. Then Flierman was the Policy Advisor of the Finance Department in Rotterdam from 1983 until 1987. Furthermore, Anne Flierman was the inspector of the official budget of the Ministry of Education and Science from 1980 until 1983.
Education
Anne Flierman studied History (cum laude; minors naval history, constitutional law, economics and European law) at the University of Leiden from 1974 until 1979.
