Jose Manuel Barreiro Fernandez
Jose Manuel Barreiro Fernandez is a Spanish politician, member of the People's Party. He was born in Lugo on September 18th, 1957.
Political Career
Jose Manuel Barreiro Fernandez is currently serving as a Senator at the Senate of Spain, the upper house of Spain's Parliament. He had already served as a Senator in the previous term.
He had also been elected deputy at the Parlament of Galicia between 1997 and 2007. During those year, he served as Economy spokesman and People's Party spokesman.
Previously, he had performed several roles at Lugo's city council. Between 1995 and 1999, he served as city mayor and as economy city counsillor.
Between 2007-2011, during his first term as senator, he served as People's Party Economy spokesman.
Education
José Manuel Barreiro Fernandez is a Doctor in Economics and Business. He is a member of the Royal Academy for Economic and Financial Science of Spain.
