Ann Brusseel
Ann Brusseel, born in Oostende on January 17, 1976, is a Flemish politician for Open VLD. She is a Member of Parliament since 2009 in the Flemish Parliament.
Political Career
Ann Brusseel teached Latin, Greek and French at a community school from 1998 to 2003. After working as a part-time teaching assistant at the University of Brussels and working for a year as a sworn translator for the court and prosecutor in Bologna, Italy, she returned to Belgium and settled in the North of Brussels. From September 2004 until June 2006, she worked as a translator and part-time case manager for the former Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht. From July 2006 until June 2009, she was attaché analyst at the crisis center of the FPS Foreign Affairs (crisis management, travel advice). On June 7, 2009, Brussel was elected as member for the Flemish Parliament.
Education
Ann Brusseel has a degree in Literature and Linguistics: Latin-Greek of the Free University of Brussels (VUB).
