Trevor Ó Clochartaigh
Trevor Ó Clochartaigh was born March 14th 1968. He is an Irish senator for the Sinn Féin.
Political Career
Trevor Ó Clochartaigh began his career in politics as a member of the Labour Party. He stood in the local elections of the Galway County Council in 2004, but was not elected. He later left the Labour Party in favour of the Sinn Féin. In 2011 he was elected to Seanad Éireann on the Agricultural Panel.
Education
Trevor Ó Clochartaigh is a graduate in commerce at the NUI Galway.
Notable Works
Ó Clochartaigh worked in Irish language theatre, is a former manager and artistic director of An Taibhdhearc. He was also active in television production. He was the producer of Fair City and Ros na Rún, along with several community development projects.
