Jean Boyer (born January 4, 1937) is a French Senator for the Department of Haute-Loire. He is a member of the New Centre Party, also known as the European Social Liberal Party.

Political Career

Boyer began his career in local politics in the early 1970's, serving on various municipal councils. In 1971, he was also elected Mayor of Blanzac, a position he held until 1995. In 1985, Boyer also served on the General Council of Haute-Loire and was also a member of the Regional Council of Auvergne from 1986 to 1998.

Boyer was elected to the French Senate in 2001 and has been paid special attention to agricultural issues.

Boyer regretfully retired from the Senate of France on October 1, 2014.

Education

Boyer has studied Agriculture.
