Bozena Sekaninova

Bozena Sekaninova was born on October 4, 1957, in the city of Sternberk. She is a Czech politician, a Senator for Prostejov district. She is a member of the Social Democrats.

Education

After graduating from the Medical High School she worked as a nurse and a dispatcher in hospital in city of Prostejov.

Political career

In 1991 she joined the Social Democrats. In 1998 she was elected Councilor and Deputy Mayor of the city of Prostejov. In the position of Deputy Mayor she was primarily focused on the fields of culture, education and social policy. In 2006 and 2012, she won the second round of elections to the Senate in Prostejov district. As a senator she focuses on the work of the Committee for Health and Social Policy and The Commission for Rural Development.
