Dr. Anna Putnova, Ph.D., MBA, was born on July 24, 1960, in Brno. She is a Czech teacher, businesswoman and politician. She has held various positions at the entrepreneurial faculty BUT since 1993 and from 1999 to 2002 she was vice-dean. She was elected a Member of the Parliament of the Czech Republic in first place for TOP 09 candidates list in the 2010 elections in the South Czech Region. She retained her mandate in the elections of 2013.

Education

She graduated with a biology degree at the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University, she went to a study stay at the College of Agriculture and she reached also the MBA title at Nottingham Business School. Since 1993 she has been employed at the Technical University in Brno.

Political career

Since 2008, she has been a Dean of Technical University in Brno for four years. In 2010 she was elected a Member of Parliament of the Czech Republic, three years later she retained her mandate.

Notable work

In 1995, she was one of the to founders of Association of Women Entrepreneurs in Brno. In the same year she became a member of the Committee of Association for Ethics in Economics. In 1996-1999 she was a member of the International Group against racism called ARARE.
