Miguel Freitas
Miguel João Pisoeiro de Freitas was born on December 25th, 1960. He is university professor and he serves as a deputy at the Portuguese National Assembly.
Political Career
He was elected by the electoral circle of Faro through the Socialist Party to serve as a deputy on the XII Legislature (2011-2015). However, he has been a deputy since the X Legislature (2005-2009). Presently, he takes part in various Parliamentary Commissions from which he is an effective member in the Agriculture and Sea Commission. He is President of the Socialist Party Federation in Algarve. He was Agricultural Regional Director of Algarve, President of LEADER II Monitoring Commission and Portuguese Spokesperson for the European Union on Agricultural Affairs.
Education
Miguel Freitas holds a Master in Agri-Food Economy.
