Thomas Lyttelton
Thomas Lyttelton, born on 12th February 1953, is the 3rd Viscount Chandos and a British politician.
Political Career[edit]
Thomas Lyttelton succeeded his father in 1980. From 1985 to 1986 he was appointed member of the EU Subcommittee for Economic and Financial Affairs, and International Trade. He lost his seat in the House of Lords after the House of Lords Act 1999. In 2000 he was created a Life Peer as Baron Lyttleton of Aldershot, in the County of Hampshire, and was able to return to the House of Lords. From 2003 to 2006 he was member of the Works of Art Committee.
Notable Work[edit]
Thomas Lyttelton is Chairman of the Ernest Kleinwort Charitable Trust, which aims to promote and support charitable purposes and activities, and choose to be exclusively grant-making, with no fundraising or operating activities.
He is also President of Kidney Research UK, and Trustee of Daedalus Trust.
