María Begoña Contreras Olmedo is a Spanish politician and member of the People’s Party (PP). She was born in Burgos on October 3rd, 1959.
Political Career
María Begoña Contreras Olmedo is currently serving as a Senator at the Senate of Spain, the upper house of Spain’s Parliament, representing Burgos. Her political career started to gather speed in 1995, when she was elected as Burgos’ city mayor. Between 1999 and 2003 she served as a councillor at Burgos city council. She is currently in her third term serving as a senator.
