Ine Somers was born on June 13th 1971 in Willebroek (Belgium). She is a member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for the Flemish Liberal Party (Open VLD).

Political Career

Ine Somers started her political career in 2006 as a councillor in Sint-Niklaas and got re-elected in the local elections in 2012. On December 31st 2008, she replaced her party fellow Guido De Padt, who became Belgian Minister of Internal Affairs, in the Belgian Chamber of Representatives. She has been an effective member of the Chamber of Representatives since 2009 and she got re-elected in 2010 and 2014, for the Flemish Liberal Party (Open VLD).

Education

She graduated in economics from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).
