Veli Yüksel was born on March 30th 1971 in Emirdag (Turkey). He is a member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for the Flemish Christian Democratic Party (CD&V).
Political Career
Veli Yüksel started his political career in 2009. He became a member of the CD&V and got elected the same year as a member of the Flemish Parliament. He focused his parliamentary work on media and urban policy. After the local elections in 2012 he won his seat as a councillor in Gents where he leads the CD&V group. On May 25th 2014, he was elected as a member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for the Flemish Christian Democrats (CD&V).
Education
He holds a degree in political science and European law.
