Jesús Martín Rodríguez is a Spanish politician and member of the Spanish Socialist Worker’s Party (PSOE). He was born in Valdepeñas (Ciudad Real) and is currently serving as Senator at the Senate of Spain after being elected in the 2011 general elections.

Political Career

From 1991 to 1995, Jesús Martín Rodríguez served as deputy mayor at the city council of Valdepeñas (Ciudad Real). He was re-elected in 1995 and became a spokesman for PSOE. From 1999 to 2003 he served as opposition spokesman. He became city mayor in 2003, a position that he still holds today after being re-elected in 2007 and 2011.

Education

Apart from his political career, he is also an author and has published several works.
