Werner Amon
Werner Amon (born May 28, 1969 in Graz) is an Austrian politician for the Austrian People’s Party (ÖVP) and is a Member of the Austrian Parliament.
Political Career[edit]
Werner Amon was a student representative and an Austrian Federal Head Boy in his school days. From 1993 to 2001 he was chairman of the youth ÖVP. He is a member of the Federal Executive of the ÖVP and was from 2003 to 2009 Secretary of ÖAAB. He was commissioner of the Austrian People's Party and served until 2007 as an educational spokesperson for the ÖVP, then as a social speaker, and he has been working as education spokesman for the Austrian People's Party since 2008. Werner Amon has been a Member of the Austrian Parliament since the beginning of the XIX. Legislative period on November 7, 1994. At the beginning of the XX. Legislative period he had to wait until March 14, 1996 for a seat in the House, just as at the beginning of the XXI. Legislative period, for which he was sworn in only on February 8 2000. After the end of XXIII. Legislative period on 27 October 2008, he resigned from the moment of the National Council, but moved on March 11, 2009 back in to the National Council. Amon was elected the Chairman of ARGE-ÖAAB as well as club Vice Chairman of the ÖVP parliamentary group. Since the legislature period of 2013, he has also been a member of the following committees: Committee of Inquiry: eavesdropping and interference measures in the Parliament, Rules of Procedure Committee, Permanent Subcommittee of the Committee on Internal Affairs, Subcommittee on the Judiciary Committee, Permanent Subcommittee in ESM Affairs, Subcommittee of the Foreign Affairs Committee, main Committee, Finance Committee, Standing sub-Committee in matters concerning the European Union, Foreign Policy Committee.
Education[edit]
Werner Amon went to school in Graz and graduated from the sub-stages-school business school. He attended the course for Intercultural Learning at Thames Valley University in London and the University course for advertising and marketing at the Vienna University of Economics. He obtained a Bachelor degree in advertising and marketing. In 2003 he completed an Executive MBA at the University IMADEC in Vienna with a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Professionally, he served as chief editor of the youth magazine "Orizont" Employee of the WIFI Chamber of Commerce Styria, a lecturer at the Business Academy Jews Castle and as a lecturer at the College of Marketing Graz active.
