José Ignacio Palacios Zuasti
José Ignacio Palacios Zuasti was born in Pamplona (Navarra) on August 14, 1952. He is currently a member of the Spanish Senate within the People’s Party (PP).
Political Career
Zuasti was elected Municipal Councilor of Pamplona in 1983 and since 1985, he has served as the Secretary General of the "People's Alliance" in Navarra. He became a member of the Management Committee of the Navarre "People's Party" since its inception and he was appointed Councilor of Pamplona in 1989. Throughout the following years, Zuasti was a member of the Council of Pamplona, a Navarra MP, and the Minister of Public Works, Transport and Communications of Navarra. He has also been Director of Social Welfare, Youth and Sports. He is a Senator for Navarra, and the Industry and Energy Spokesman in the Senate.
Education
Zuasti obtained a Law degree from the University of Navarra.

He has edited a book named En el Ecuador de la Legislatura.
