Juan María Vázquez García, born 9 August 1953 in Castuera (Badajoz), is a Spanish senator representing the Spanish province of Badajoz in the 10th Congress of Deputies. Vázquez García is a member of the Spanish Socialist Worker’s Party, Partido Socialista Obrero Español (PSOE).

Political Career

Juan María Vázquez García began his political career in 1983 when he was appointed mayor of Castuera, a position he held until 1999. Additionally, he was president of the Provincial Council of Badajoz. He is currently the Second Secretary of the Commission of Economics and Competitiveness, and a deputy speaker in the Development Commission. Finally, he is the spokesman of the Treasury Section of the Committee on Finance and Government.

Education

Juan María Vázquez García has a degree in Technical Agricultural Engineering from the University of Sevilla.
