Winfried Hermann was born on the 19th of July 1952 in Rottenburg am Neckar. He has been a member of the German Federal Council for the Alliance '90/The Greens since 2011. He is the Minister for Transport and Infrastructure of the State of Baden-Württemberg.

Political career[edit]

He has been a member of Alliance 90 / The Greens since 1982. Between 1992 and 1997 he was the state chairman of Alliance '90 / The Greens in Baden-Württemberg. From 1984 to 1988 he was a member of the Federal Council of Baden-Württemberg. Moreover, between 1998 and 2011 he was a member of the German Bundestag.

Education[edit]

Hermann graduated from German secondary school in 1971 with the Abitur (A-Level). Between 1973 and 1979 he studied German, politics and Sports in Tübingen. Subsequently, from 1979 to 1984, he did a traineeship at the Gymnasium in Stuttgart.
