Georgios Konstantopoulos
Georgios Konstantopoulos was born in Pieria in 1958. He is a Greek politician and doctor. He was Secretary for Health and Social Solidarity from 10 March 2004 to 19 September 2007.
Political Career[edit]
As a student and his youth ages ,he was chairman ONNED in Pieria prefecture, president of the Student Union of Pieria and Board member Student Association of the Medical School of Aristotle university.
George Konstantopoulos Pieria was elected for the first time in the 2000 elections with New Democracy, and was first in number of votes. Reelected to the same party in the elections of 2004 and 2007 .Was followed by two more victories in two consecutive elections in May and June 2012.
Education Career[edit]
He studied at the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and specialized in pediatrics in Germany. Received his Doctor of Social Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at the University of Munich and lecturer of the German Academy of Developmental Rehabilitation. He is also an Assistant Professor of Developmental and Social Pediatrics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Notable Work[edit]
While he was a deputy minister of Health and Social Solidarity, he launched on September 15, 2004, the first organized beach in Greece for children and people with disabilities in the field of Disability Rehabilitation Centre for Children Voula (Voula former PIKPA).
