Maurizio Lupi was born on 3rd of October 1959. He is an Italian politician and a deputy of the Chamber of Deputies.

Political career

He is a member of the New Centre-Right (NCD) and he is the minister of Infrastructures and Transports since April 2013. From 1993 until 1997 he was a member of the municipal council of Milan. Until 1996 he was vice president of the council. He has been a member of the Italian parliament since 2001. He was the deputy house speaker until 2013. In 2013 he joined the New Centre-Right party founded by Angelino Alfano. During Renzi’s government he was still minister of Infrastructures and Transports. During the Letta’s government, he was one of the two members of the powerful Catholic pressure group- Comunione e Liberazione. From 2013 until 2014 he was a member of many committees such as Culture, Science and Education, Justice, Budget and Treasury.

Education

He studied at the Catholic University in Milan and he has a degree in Political Science.
