Jaroslaw Sellin
Jarosław Sellin was born on the 1st May 1963 in Gdynia, Poland. He is a Polish politician and Member of Parliament (V, VI and VII cadency).
Political Career
In 1998, he became the spokesman for Jerzy Buzek's government, and in 1999 was elected into Parliament for the National Council of Radio and Television. After his mandate finished he decided to run in the elections for Parliament in 2005. He obtained a parliamentary seat for Prawo I Sprawiedliwość (Law and Justice) in a district of Slupsk. In June 2006 he became an honorary member of the Young Conservatives. From 2005 to 2007 he was State Secretary in the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. In the parliamentary elections in 2007, he was reelected as a deputy. In the elections to Parliament in 2011, he successfully ran for re-election. In the elections to the European Parliament in 2014 he was elected to Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (the Law and Justice).
Education
In 1988 he graduated in History from the Faculty of Humanities from the University of Gdansk. He then worked as a high school history teacher and as a lecturer at the University of Gdańsk.
