Martin Fedor
Martin Fedor is a member of the National Council of Slovak Republic. He was born on 4th of March in 1974. He stood for the seat of SDKÚ-DS in Trenčianske Teplice. He is a former minister of defence. He is a member of the political party SDKÚ-DS, member of the Special Control Committee for the Control of Activities of the Slovak Intelligence Service and chairman of the Special Control Committee for the Control of the Activities of the Military Intelligence Service.
Political career[edit]
From 1998 to 2000, Fedor was the Director of the Office of the Prime Minister, after this in 2000, he became the Director of International Relations CSSD. From 2003 to 2006 he was working at the Consular Section Embassy of Slovakia in Dublin. Since 2006 he has worked at the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence. In 2006 Fedor was elected as Minister of Defence. Since 2006 he has been a permanent member of the parliament and of the Parliamentary Committee on Defence and Security. Since 2010 he has been a Substitute of the Permanent Delegation of the Slovak Parliament in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
Education[edit]
In 1997 he graduated in International Relations at Comenius University in Bratislava, and went on to study a Masters in Political Science (Mgr.) In the period 2002-2003 he studied a masters in Economics and Political Science at the Dublin European Institute.
