Eugeniusz KÅ‚opotek
Eugeniusz Kłopotek – (born on 15th November 1953 in Chojnice, Poland) – is a Polish politician and zoo technician, Member of Parliament (III, IV, VI and VII term).
Political Career[edit]
In 1982-1988 he was the head of the municipality Warlubie, and from 1988 to 1990 he was deputy director of the Department of Agriculture at the Provincial Office in Bydgoszcz. In the early 90s he was the owner of the consulting company "Contra" and director of the Executive Office of the Provincial Board of Polish People’s Party (Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe) in Bydgoszcz. From 1994 to 1997, he was deputy voivodes of Bydgoszcz. Since 1977 he was a member of ZSL, and since 1990 the PSL. He led the Kuyavian provincial council, he also served on the board of the PSL. Since 1968 he has been a member of the Association of Rural Sports Clubs. Between 1995 and2007 he was chairman of the provincial Kuyavian-Pomeranian Association LZS.
In 1997 and 2001, he obtained a parliamentary seat from the list of Polish People’s Party. He was Vice-President of the Commission of Physical Culture and Tourism, and the in the next term he was a President of the Commission of Physical Culture and Sport and the spokesman for the discipline of the Parliamentary Club PSL. In March 2003, he was an observer for the Parliament at the European Parliament, then from May 2004 (from the Polish accession to the EU) to July 2004 he won the mandate of MEP. As a result of the 2004 elections was not elected for another term.
In 2006 he was elected to the regional council of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region. In the parliamentary elections in 2007, the third time he got to the Parliament. He was reelected in 2011.
Education[edit]
In 1977 he graduated from the Faculty of Zoo technical at the University of Technology and Agriculture in Bydgoszcz and a post-graduate study at the Pedagogical Institute of Teacher Education in 1987 in Bydgoszcz.
