Andrew Gwynne
Andrew John Gwynne (born 4 June 1974) is a British Labour Party politician and has been MP for the constituency of Denton and Reddish since 2005. Gwynne was elected at the age of 30, becoming the youngest Labour MP in the 2005 Parliament.
Political Career[edit]
Prior to becoming a UK MP, Andrew Gwynne served as a Labour Councillor on the Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, beginning in 1996, representing the Denton West Ward. Gwynne was elected to UK Parliament in May, 2005 for the constituency of Denton and Reddish. He was appointed to the House of Commons Procedure Committee in June 2005 and, despite having only been elected six months earlier, on 10 November 2005, Gwynne was promoted to become a Parliamentary Private Secretary to The Baroness Scotland of Asthal QC. Between June 2009 and May 2010, Andrew served as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Rt Hon Ed Balls MP, the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families. Gwynne is currently a Shadow Health Minister, a post he has held since the October 2011 Opposition front bench reshuffle.

Andrew Gwynne grew up in Denton and attended Egerton Park High School. Later he went to Tameside College, then North East Wales Institute and Salford University and graduated with a degree in Politics and Contemporary History.
