Tjeerd van Dekken
Tjeerd van Dekken was born on May 14th 1967 in Marum. He is a member of the Dutch House of Representatives on behalf of the Labour Party (PvdA).
Political career[edit]
From 1994 until 1998 he was the chairman of the Young Socialists (JS). He has been the chairman of the PvdA in Groningen since 1996 and from 1998 until 2008 he was a discussion leader and programme maker at Buro TVD, which he has been owner of since 2006.

He has Senior-level vocational education.
