Ramón Ortiz Molina

Ramón Ortiz Molina is a Spanish politician and member of the Spanish Socialist Workers Party (PSOE). He was born in Cieza (Murcia) on September 6th, 1956. He is currently serving as a Senator at the Senate of Spain after being elected by Murcia in the 2011 general elections.

Political Career[edit]

Ramón Ortiz Molina’s political career began at the city council of Cieza (Murcia). There, he served as a councillor between 1979 and 1983. He was elected city mayor in 1983, a position that he held until 1987. From 1987 to 1991, he was also a Regional Deputy at the Regional Parliament of Murcia. He was then re-elected in 1991, 1999 and 2003. From 1996 to 1999 (VI Term), he was elected as a deputy by Murcia at the Spanish Congress. He served as secretary at the Agriculture Commission.

Ramón Ortiz Molina graduated in political science and business management.
