Baroness Greenfield
Susan Greenfield was born on the 1st October 1950. She is a British Scientist, writer, broadcaster and member of the House of Lords. She is a crossbench member.
Political Career[edit]
On the 18th June, 2001 she was created a life peer receiving the title Baroness Greenfield, of Ot Moor in the County of Oxfordshire. During her time in the UK parliament she was on the Information Committee from 2005 to 2007. She focuses on policies concerning Education, ‘Health Services and medicine’, ‘Science and Technology’ and Women’s issues.
Education[edit]
Susan Greenfield attended the Godolphin and Latymer School. She then moved on to St Hilda’s college Oxford, graduating with a first in philosophy and psychology. She then went on to complete a Doctorate in Philosophy in 1977.
Notable Works[edit]
Greenfield has been elected to an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and the Science Museum. In 2010 she was awarded the Australian society for Medical Research Medal. She had also received the Royal Society’s Michael Faraday Prize.
