Kirsch, Philippe (April 1, 1947-)[edit]
Philippe Kirsch is a Canadian lawyer who served as a judge of the International Criminal Court from 2003-2009 and was the Court’s first president. Kirsch was born in Belgium but moved to Canada in 1961. Kirsch has a Bachelor in Civil Law and an LLM Degree from the University of Montreal. He has extensive experience in the field of international criminal law and international humanitarian law.
