Horkheimer, Max (February 14, 1895 - July 7, 1973)[edit]

German philosopher and sociologist, member of the “Frankfurt School” of social research, famous for his work on society and culture as well as his close collaboration with Theodore Adorno. He is the author of The Eclipse of Reason (1947), Between Philosophy and Social Science (1930-1938) and co-author of the Dialectic of Enlightenment (1947).
