Huntington, Samuel P. (April 18, 1927- December 24, 2008)[edit]
American political scientist, co-founder and co-editor of the influential academic journal “Foreign Affairs”. He taught as associate professor at Columbia University, where he was also Deputy Director of The Institute for War and Peace Studies and later appointed professor at Harvard University’s Department of Government where he served until his death. His major publications include Political Order in Changing Societies (1968), The Third Wave: Democratization in the Late Twentieth Century (1991) and The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order (1996).
