Judge Dmitry Dedov was born on 22 February 1967, in the city of Novograd-Volynskiy, Zhitomir oblast, USSR.


Biography

From 2000 to 2005 Dmitry Dedov became an Expert at the Russian Constitutional Court and the Russian Government. In 2004 he start working as a Professor at the Moscow State University in business, charge that he held until 2010 when he became a Professor at the Centre of Transnational Legal Studies in London. From 2005 to 2008 he became head of the Legislation Department, Russian Supreme Commercial Court. After it and until 2012 he was Judge of Russian Supreme Commercial Court. Since the 2nd of January 2013 he is Judge of the European Court of Human Rights.

Education

Dmitry Dedov graduate with honors at the Moscow State University in 1991. In 1994 got his PhD within the same university, he wrote his thesis on “Resolution of collective labour disputes in Russia and the United States: A Comparative Analysis”. In 2006 Dmitry Dedov recived the title Doctor of Law after defending his thesis “The implementation of the principle of proportionality in the legal regulation of business”.
