Lawrence Gonzi was born on July 1, 1953, in Valletta, Malta. He is a Maltese politician who has served as the Former Prime Minister of Malta twice.

Biography

After graduating from the University of Malta with a law degree, Lawrence Gonzi worked in a private law firm, and then joined the Mizzi Organization as a company lawyer. From 1989 to 1997, he became the Group Chairman for the organization.


Education

Lawrence Gonzi attended the St. Joseph School, and then went on to attend St. Aloysious College, as well as The Archbishop's Seminary. He later received his law degree from the University of Malta in 1975.

Notable Works

Lawrence Gonzi is actively involved in the disability rights movement, as well as the mental health sector. As a result, he was appointed as the first Chairman of the National Commission for the Disabled from 1987 to 1994.
