Fuad Isgandarov
Fuad Isgandarov was born on August 6, 1961 in Baku, Azerbaijan. He is the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg since 2012. He also serves as the head of the delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the European Union.
Political Career
After his military service, Isgandarov became head of the Department of Information and Analysis at the Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan in1995. In 2001, he was appointed Deputy of Minister of National Security for political affairs. He started his career as a diplomat in 2006 when he became an ambassador-at-large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan. At the same time, he was appointed Secretary-General of the National Commission for UNESCO in Azerbaijan. From 2007-2012, he served as the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of the Netherlands until he became the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Belgium in September 2012.
Education
Fuad Isgandarov obtained a Bachelor degrees in both International Economic Relations and English Interpretation in 1983. He then completed his post-graduate studies as a scientific researcher and assistant-professor at the Chair of Political Economy of the Azerbaijan State Economic University. Moreover, he worked as a part-time lecturer at the Azerbaijan University of Languages as well as the Chair of International Relations in the Faculty of International Relations and International Law at the Baku State University.
