Cirino Hiteng Ofuho at "The International Symposium on Cultural Diplomacy & Human Rights" (Berlin; May 27th - June 1st, 2013)

Cirino Hiteng Ofuho is the current Minister for the Office of the President of South Sudan. He is the former Minister for Culture, Youth and Sports.

Political Career

He has been a member of the Sudan Peoples’ Liberation Movement (SPLM) negotiation team during the last four years of the IGAD peace process. He is the Minister for the Office of the President, Minister of Culture. In July 2011, he was appointed the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports but he was replaced by Nadi Arop in a cabinet reshuffle in August 2013.


Education

Cirino Hiteng Ofuno holds a BA, MA and PhD in International Relations from Universities in Kenya and the United Kingdom and has extensive experience in working with the government and in academia.
