Education and Political Career[edit]
Kornelios Korneliou studied at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in 1989. The year he left university he began working for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cyprus. He worked throughout the majority of the 1990s for the Embassy of Cyprus situated in Bonn. He participated in the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Cyprus to the United Nations in New York. His professional background also includes Permanent Representative of the Republic of Cyprus to the European Union, Director of the Diplomatic Office to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cyprus to France. He has also been the Permanent Delegate to UNESCO between the years 2010-2011.
