Branko Hrvatin was born 16. June 1959 in Vinež, Labin Municipality, Republic of Croatia. He is President of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Croatia.

Biography[edit]
Since 19.7.2005 to present he has been President of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Croatia (reappointed twice - 19.7.2009 and 15.7.2013. Since 2004 to present he is a member of Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Croatia. From 1993 to 2004 he was the Judge of the County Court in Zagreb. Since 1994 to 1997 he assigned to the Office for Monitoring and Studying Court Practice, adjudicating at the same time cases in second instance until 1995. 1998 he appointed as the Head of the Office for Monitoring and Studying Court Practice. Since 1986 to 1993 he was Judge of the Municipal Court in Zagreb Chairman of the Group for Restitution of Damages. In 1992 appointed to the position of the President of the Extra-Litigation Department, keeping his civil litigation docket at the same time.
He was also a lecturer at seminar organized by the Croatian Supreme Court with a scene from the land registry law, speaker and moderator at the seminar organized by the ABA - CEELI and the Centre for Professional Training of Judges (Zagreb, Split, Opatija, Osijek, Varazdin) with the theme of organization and concentration of the trial in civil proceedings, speaker and moderator at the seminar organized by the Centre for Professional Training of Judges. Lecturer at the conference organized by the HPC and the Centre for Professional Training of Judges held in Varazdin and Pula. Also lecturer organized by the Association of Croatian Judges at the conference for judges in the area of the County Court in Slavonski Brod. He has participated as a speaker at several seminars organized by the Association of Croatian Judges and engineering bureaus and companies "Official Gazette" and "Organizer"

He graduated from the Faculty of Law, University in Zagreb in 1982.
Notable work[edit]
He is an author of 15 scientific articles in the field of civil procedural law, enforcement law, property law, published in peer-reviewed journals. Since 1994, he leads the exercise of civil rights - the Chair Professor Nicholas gave, and since 1998 in the framework of the curriculum of the Civil Procedure Law. Exercise programs are finally united, and since 2000 conducted jointly for the 4th year students of the Law Faculty, combining civil procedural law, civil substantive law and family law.
