Khadija Arib (PvdA) member of the Dutch House of Representatives

Khadija Arib (Hedami, Marocco, 10 October 1960) is a Morrocan-Dutch politician. She joined the Dutch House of Representatives on March 1st, 2007, for the Dutch Labour Party (Partij van de Arbeid).

Political Career

From 1998 till 2006 Khadija Arib was a member of the Dutch House of Representatives for the Dutch Labour Party (PvdA). In March, 2007 she became a member of the House of Representatives for the second time, also for the Labour Party. First she focused on health care issues, but nowadays Arib focuses on medical-ethical issues. In 2012 Khadija Arib was a candidate for the chairmanship of the Dutch House of Representatives, but the House chose Anouchka van Miltenburg instead.

Education

Arib has a degree in Sociology from the University of Amsterdam in 1986.
