Carlos Aragonés Mendiguchía

Carlos Aragonés Mendiguchía was born on the 14th October of 1956 in Leganés (Madrid). He is a national deputy for the constituency of Madrid in the V, VI, VII, VIII, IX y X Congress.

Political Career

Carlos Aragonés Mendiguchía started his political career under the auspices of Antonio Fontán, who was Minister of Government of Adolfo Suarez. During his youth, he was affiliated to the Youth Organisation of Liberal Union in the early 80's, then he joined Alianza Popular in 1987. A few months latter he was appointed as Chef of the Cabinet by the then President of the Regional Government of Leon-Castile Jose María Aznar. In 1990 he became Secretary of Studies and Programs of the People's Party (PP), and three years after that he started being member of PP's National Executive Committee. After the General Elections of 1996, Jose María Aznar appointed him as Director of the Presidency Cabinet of the Government, as a Secretary of State until 2004. Nowadays, Carlos Aragonés Mendiguchía is President of the Commission of International Cooperation for the Development since 2012 and member of the Foreign Affairs and Culture Commissions.

Education

Carlos Aragonés Mendiguchía has a degree on Philosophy for the Complutense University of Madrid.
