Introduction

Lorraine Higgins was born on 3rd August 1979. She is an Irish barrister and Labour Party politician.

Political career

Higgins is currently the Labour Party Seanad spokesperson on Reform and Foreign Affairs. She ran as the Labour Party candidate in the Midlands–North-West constituency for the 2014 European Parliament election. She was unsuccessful in this election.

Education

Higgins graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway in with a Degree in Political & Social Science and History in 2001 and attended the Honorable Society of Kings Inn from 2001-2005.
