Alexander Kops

Alexander Kops (born on November 23th, 1984) is a member of the Dutch Senate for the Party for Freedom (PVV). In the Dutch Senate he focuses on Foreign Policy, Europe and Environment, Infrastructure and Land use Planning.

Political Career

Alexander Kops started as a teacher of German at a high school in Leiderdorp in 2008. In 2010 he stood as candidate for the Party for Freedom in the Dutch House of Representatives elections, as he was number 27 on the list he was not chosen. His contract at the high school was not renewed. In early 2011 he started as a policy worker for the Party for Freedom at the European Parliament. On July 1st, 2014 he ended his contract there, and on July 8th he was made member of the Dutch Senate.

Education

Alexander Kops studied German language and culture at the University of Leiden from 2004 until 2009. He did a minor Indonesian Language and Culture from 2007 until 2008 and a minor Dutch Language and Culture from 2005 until 2007, also in Leiden.
