Artur Górski
Artur Górski - (born on 30th January 1970 in Warsaw) is a Polish politician, university professor, writer, journalist, political scientist and Member of Parliament (V, VI, VII term).
Political Career
He is a member of Akcja Katolicka (the Catholic Action). From 1988 to 2004 Górski was a president of Klub Zachowawczo-Monarchistyczny (the Conservative-Monarchist Club). From 1999 to 2001 he was advisor to the Prime Minister, then director of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Prime Minister. In 2001-2002 he was a member of political council of Przymierze Prawicy (the Covenant of Right Wing). Since 2002 belongs to Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (Law and Justice). In the parliamentary elections in 2005, he was elected to the Parliament from the list of Prawo i Sprawiedliwość in Warsaw area. In the V term of parliament, he served as Chairman of the Parliamentary Group for the Restoration of Power Authority, which included representatives of groups of "conservative traditions": Prawo i Sprawiedliwość and Liga Polskich Rodzin (the League of Polish Families). From July 2007 to March 2009 he was a member of the Council of the Public Service on behalf of the Prime Minister Office, in 2009 he was appointed as a member of the Civil Service. He was reelected in the parliamentary elections in 2007 and in 2011.
Education
In 1994 he graduated from the Faculty of History and Social Sciences of the Academy of Catholic Theology. In 1998 he obtained a Ph.D. in the humanities field. During doctoral studies, he joined the Corporate Academic Respublica. From 1995 to 1997 he was a journalist of the Polish Press Agency. In 1998 he was the editor of "Nasz Dziennik" (Our Daily). Since February 2001 Górski is a lecturer at the University of Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski. He is the author of publications in the field of history, the history of ideas and political science.
