Darija KuzmaniÄ Korva
Darija Kuzmanič Korva (born October 21, 1957) is a member of the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia.
Political Career
She was elected National Councilor as a representative of social welfare.
She has been appointed to various task and organizations by the Government. In 2008, she was a member of the Council for coexistence and quality aging of population in Slovenia; a member of the working group of the Ministry of Health to develop guidance on providing health and social care treatment in cases of discharge from the hospital, and in cases where the beneficiary lives at home. In 2010, she was a member of the National Committee for the preparation and implementation of the project of the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion; a member of the working group for the preparation of substrates and conditions for the implementation of the Law on the enforcement of public funds. In 2011, Darija Kuzmanič Korva was a member of the National Committee of the European Year of Active Ageing and Intergenerational Solidarity in 2012 and a member of the National Coordinator of the European Year for Active Ageing and Intergenerational Solidarity 2012.
Professional Career
Darija Kuzmanič Korva started as a social worker in the local community Ljubljana in 1982. And continued at the Center for Social Work Ljubljana Bežigrad where she worked in different fields. From 1995 till 1998 she was employed at the Government Office for the disabled and social protection in the field of people with disabilities and children with special needs. From 1998 she works as a Secretary at the Community of the Centers for Social Work of Slovenia.
Education
In 2005, she obtained BA at the Faculty of Social Work in Ljubljana. She also completed MA in management in the field of social welfare at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana.
