Felipe López García

Felipe López García was born in Alcala la real (Jaén, Spain) on the 20th of June, 1954. He is a Spanish politician from the Spanish Socialist Workers Party (PSOE).

Political Career

Felipe López was a deputy for the PSOE in the Spanish Parliament from 1993-1996 and was a member of the Infrastructure, Agriculture Committees and worked with the Spanish Radio and Television Corporation. He was first a city councillor and then the major of Alcala la Real (1979-1993). Mr. López García became the President of the Council of Jaén in 1995 and maintained that post until 2010. He then became a delegate to the Andalucian Government (2010-2011) and became President of the Network of Local Governments for the Biodiversity (2007-2010).

Education Career

Felipe López graduated in Psychology at the University of Granada and became a secondary school teacher.
