Jerzy Budnik

Jerzy Budnik was born on 30th May 1951 in Wejherowo, Poland. He is a Polish politician and member of Parliament (III, IV, V, VI and VII cadency).

Political Career

In the 80s he was an activist of "Solidarity" and the civil committees. In the 90s he was a councillor in Wejherowa, and for two terms (1990-1998) he held the position of mayor of the city. Then until 2001 he was a member of the council of the Pomeranian. At the time he was a member of the Conservative People's Party, he was deputy chairman of the party in Pomerania. Between 1997 and 2001 he served as a Member of the Solidarity Electoral Action in the third term. He was elected as a member in the fourth term in the parliamentary elections in 2001 for the Civic Platform (PO). In the 2005 elections he again received a mandate from the PO. In the parliamentary elections in 2007, he won a parliamentary seat for the fourth time. In elections in 2011, he successfully applied for re-election. He is an activist of the Kashubian-Pomeranian. He was awarded several medals and badges (including the Bronze Medal for services of defense for the country).

Education

He graduated from the Faculty of Administrative Law, University of Gdansk.
