José JoaquÃn Peñarrubia Agius
José Joaquín Peñarrubia Agius was born on July 23, 1950 in Lorca (Murcia). He is currently a member of the Spanish Senate within the People’s Party (PP).
Political Career
Prior to entering the Senate, Aguis worked as a spokeman of the People’s Party in Lorca. He was also a member of the Congress of Deputies between 1982 and 1996. In this period, he was a government officer in the autonomous region of Murcia. In 2004, he was elected to the Spanish Senate.
Education
He is an industrial Engineer and Professor of Industry.
