Francisco Javier Pagola Sáez, born in Calahorra (La Rioja) on the 11th March 1946, is a Spanish senator elected for the constituency of La Rioja in the 10th term. He is a member of the People’s Party (PP).

Political Career

Francisco Javier Pagola Sáez was elected as senator for the first time in the 8th term and re-elected in the 9th and the current term. During the most current term, he is acting as spokesman for the Local Entities Commission and as a member of the Food, Fisheries and Agriculture Commission and the Commission to avoid the depopulation on the rural mountainous areas. Before becoming a senator, Francisco Javier Pagola Sáez had been councillor and mayor in the city council of Calahorra for six terms.

Education

Francisco Javier Pagola Sáez holds a degree in Chemistry for the University of Zaragoza and a degree in Pharmacy. He has been teacher in different high schools. Francisco Javier Pagola Sáez is also a member of the Board for the “Hospital Calahorra Foundation” and vice-president of the executive board of the Pharmaceutical Society of La Rioja.
